Making memories (that apparently last forever)

This morning we had to make an emergency diaper run to Target. Like, seriously, desperate emergency. I don't know why you needed to know that. We made a quick run to Target. There. Anyway, I hardly buy the kids a treat or "souvenir," so that when I do, it's a very big deal. 

We saw The Pirates: Band of Misfits on DVD for five bucks. I vaguely remember taking someone to the theater to see it. It's finally raining, and Friday, on a 3 day weekend. There. Justified.

When we picked Lincoln up from school, the little boys couldn't wait to tell him the plan. Go home, get in cozy clothes, snuggle on the couch with popcorn and apples and watch our new PIRATE MOVIE!! This was his response:

"Oooh! I remember that movie! I actually haven't see it, but you took Boone to see it at the movie theater when he turned 4? Yeah. Four. I stayed home and watched something else...hmm...oh yeah. Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Can I be the Pirate Captain and Boone can be the monkey?"

How does he remember these things?? That was 18 months ago!
